In 2013, President Obama was awarded Politifact’s “Lie of the Year” distinction for his “if you like your plan you can keep it” and “if you like your doctor you can keep him” whoppers. That coupled with a flood of ensuing canceled insurance plans due to the passage of the Affordable Care Act contributed to massive Democrat losses in subsequent elections. In spite of that, Obama slammed Republicans last night for their efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare, and gave himself and supporters of the ACA a pat on the back for being so courageous:
